Extended Day Program
Before and After School Programs
We understand that families may need safe, reliable caregiving services for their children outside of school hours. In Before Care and After Care, the children experience an extension of their school day: thoughtful and caring teacher engagement, space for movement and play (downtime if preferred) and a no-tech policy. The children are grouped/supervised by age, and snacks are offered during After Care.
In order for us to staff appropriately, we can only offer Before Care and/or After Care on a full-year contract basis only. Families can drop off and pick up anytime during the Extended Day hours.
Before Care
The Before Care Program provides supervised childcare from 8:00 am until classes begin at 8:20 am. Parents must park and accompany their children into the building. Curb-side drop-off is not available at this time. The Before Care staff escort the Preschool children to their classrooms at 8:20 am.
After Care
The After Care Program provides supervised activities from 3:00 to 6:00 pm daily for children in the full-day program only (Preschool - Grade 3).* We understand that emergency situations arise on occasion, but in order to respect our staff’s time, schedules and family obligations, late fees are assessed for those who repeatedly pick up after 6:00 pm. We’re grateful for your understanding with this.
The After Care Program contract cannot be prorated for any days missed due to absence or if your child is enrolled in River’s Enrichment Clubs and Classes (RECC program). Your child will be escorted to After Care after the Enrichment classes end at 4:15 pm for the remainder of the time.
The cost of Before Care and After Care is included in your tuition invoice and can be paid with your selected payment plan. For those receiving tuition assistance, prices are adjusted based on the grants.
*For families with children in Upper Elementary, the school day ends at 5:00 pm. If you need care between 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, accommodations can be made through the Business Office.
