RiverWalk & Spring Picnic
Thank you to everyone who joined us for RiverWalk & Spring Picnic on May 2, 2026. It was a joy to see our community come together to spend time outdoors, connect with one another and support the Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund.
From the walk and hike to the picnic, games and time to catch up with friends, the day was a wonderful reflection of what makes The River School so special. We are especially grateful to our sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible.
About RiverWalk & Spring Picnic
RiverWalk & Spring Picnic is a beloved annual tradition that brings together families, alumni and friends of The River School for a day of connection and community.
The day typically includes a choice of a stroller-friendly walk along the C&O Canal towpath or a more adventurous hike on the Billy Goat Trail, followed by a picnic with food, lawn games and activities. It is an opportunity to spend time together outdoors while celebrating the River community.
