Foundations & Corporations
River thrives because of the generosity of individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations that believe in our mission.
Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers will match charitable gifts made by their employees, sometimes even by spouses or retirees, doubling or potentially tripling the impact of your support. Ask your HR or benefits office if your company offers matching gifts, or contact the Advancement Office
We can often help determine eligibility based on past matches.
Taking this simple step can double your impact for River students!

Foundation Support
Foundations help advance The River School’s mission to empower young children, with and without hearing loss, to find their voice by developing language, literacy, and confidence in an inclusive setting. Grants from private and family foundations have a transformative impact by supporting:
- Scholarships that make a River education accessible to more families.
- The Community Outreach Fund, which extends River’s expertise to children and families beyond our campus, in partnerships with the Potomac River Clinic.
- Research and innovation that improve early intervention for children with hearing loss, language development for all students, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Program growth and excellence, including teacher training and resources that sustain River’s unique co-teaching model.
We welcome partnerships with foundations that share our vision for innovative, inclusive early education. To learn more, contact the Advancement Office.
