RiverWalk & Spring Picnic

This school-wide annual event at Carderock Pavilion brings the community together for River's Spring Picnic and RiverWalk in support of the Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund. A highlight of the school year, this event is a fun way to spend a spring day and connect with River families. The Spring Picnic & RiverWalk are free to attend.

10:30 am: Alumni Reunion Breakfast
This is a chance for River alumni families to re-connect with each other, as well as faculty and staff.

11:00 am: RiverWalk Begins
Start off your day with a self-guided walk on the stroller-friendly C&O Canal Tow Path or explore the popular Billy Goat Trail. Afterwards, gather at Carderock Pavilion for lawn games, face painting and balloon artistry. RiverWalk is named in memory of Jill Bailey Chenet. You can chose to support The Jill Bailey Chenet Scholarship Fund as part of RiverWalk through sponsorships, donations and purchasing RiverWalk t-shirts.

Noon: Spring Picnic
This includes a casual lunch, face painting, balloon artistry and lawn games. There are tables under the pavilion and a large grassy area for picnicking.
