Help Support The River School's Proposed New Campus at 4220 Nebraska Avenue
The DC Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) will hold a public hearing on The River School's proposal on October 27, 2021. The interests and perspectives of members of the community and other interested stakeholders are important considerations that will be taken into account by the BZA as part of their decision-making process. ANC3D and ANC3E will also review and take a position on The River School proposal. Pursuant to Dc Code, the recommendations of the ANCs will be given “great weight” by the BZA.
There are several ways you can show your support for The River School’s proposed new campus at 4220 Nebraska Avenue:
1. Let us know! If you support our plan, please share your contact information with us here. We will be sure to keep you posted on all project updates, key dates and milestones, as well as opportunities to learn more about the plans for the campus as soon as they become available.
2. Contact your ANC Commissioner. If you live in ANC3D or ANC3E (Not sure? You can confirm your ANC here), please consider contacting your single member district commissioner directly to help ensure that a balanced and representative range of neighborhood perspectives are heard.
3. Submit a letter of support to the Board of Zoning Adjustment. You can submit a statement of support directly to the Board of Zoning Adjustment by following the DC Office of Zoning’s instructions for submitting written testimony. Please indicate “BZA Application No. 20472: The River School” to ensure that your submission is properly entered into the record.
