Our Upper Elementary Program (Grades 4-5) features project-based, inquiry-driven immersive learning experiences. A River graduate can think critically, engage in meaningul inquiry, solve problems and persevere through academic and social challenges, collaborate and communicate effectively, exhibit strong reading, writing and math skills, and be a kind, respectful change agent.

Ninety-five percent of our faculty hold a master’s degree or higher, giving us the expertise to develop new teaching strategies that help every child optimize their development. Our faculty present at conferences nationally and internationally, publish in peer-reviewed journals and train graduate students from a number of universities each year.
