Last month, the nationally and internationally acclaimed podcast, What School Could Be (WSCB), an arm of the education platform, What School Could Be, “visited” The River School to interview Dr. Sharlene Wilson Ottley and Dr. Christiane Connors. The host, Josh Reppun, sought to learn more about The River School’s innovative approach to offering all children an excellent start to life, including children with hearing loss. The stated mission of the WSCB Podcast is “to give full voice to those educators and education leaders so that their stories of innovation, creativity and imagination might inspire others towards student-driving and relevant learning.”

Honored to be part of the 124th episode and to be included among such an esteemed group of educators and innovators, Dr. Ottley and Dr. Connors treasured the opportunity to reflect on how they landed where they are today and the core values and truths that guide them each and every day they serve The River School community.
