Camp River is open to children ages 3 to 10 (rising Preschool through rising Grade 4) Campers include current students, former students and children from neighboring communities. REGISTER NOW. Camp River provides children with a balanced schedule of creative, intellectual and physical activities which serve as an “educational bridge” for the summer months. In age-based groups, campers explore new topics and face exciting challenges, all focused on weekly themes. Camp begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Before Care (8:00 am) and After Care (3:00 pm - 5:00 pm) are available for an additional fee. REGISTRATION IS OPEN. Sign up by the week or for the entire six week-program. Early bird discount if you register before March 1. Camp Counselors (Ages 15+) There is no better summer job! You get to have fun with children and gain valuable experience and leadership skills. You will help manage a class of children, design activities and work as a team with other counselors to keep camp running smoothly. This is an hourly paid position. Week 1 - June 22 - 26: Imaginarium Summer is a great time for wondering, "What If?" Join us this week to tap into your imagination! Design your own animal, put on a play or think about what the world would be like if people could fly. Unleash your imagination, and let your creativity run! Week 2 - June 29 - July 2: Good Ole' Fashioned Fun From Hop Scotch and Double Dutch to Spinning Tops and Sack Racing, join us for a week of classic summer fun. Learn these low-tech games your parents used to play! *Please note this week is only four days to accommodate the July 4 Holiday. Tuition is pro-rated to $375 ($350 with the early bird discount that ends March 1). Week 3 - July 6-10: Mystery Camp Detectives Mystery is afoot at Camp River! Find clues, gather evidence and determine exactly what is going on. Put all the pieces together to solve the puzzle for a summer of adventure! Week 4 - July 13-17: Mad Science Mania Join us for a week of science and discovery. If you think science is limited only to the classroom, then have we got a surprise for you! From cooking to art, we use science every day. How will you use it with us? Come find out! Week 5 - July 20 - July 24: B.Y.O.F. Build Your Own Fun! We supply the materials, but you design the fun for this DIY, maker-themed week. Use Legos, cardboard, marshmallows, toothpicks and a myriad of other materials and tools to construct the week of your dreams! Week 6 - July 27-31: Showtime! Camp River's got talent and this is the week to display it. Make a mural, learn puppeteering perform a song or choreograph a dance with your friends. All of camp is your stage, so show us what you’ve got! Jr. CIT - Counselor in Training (Grades 5-8) Help us make Camp River magic, while having fun and learning along the way! Our Jr. CITs spend time getting to know the campers, learning about child development and building their leadership skills as they help plan great activities. Time as a Jr. CIT is wonderful preparation to work with children in the future! There is a fee to participate as a Jr. CIT. CIT - Counselor in Training (Ages 12-14) For teenagers who love children, enjoy camp activities and want to keep coming back for more! Counselors in Training (CITs) work with a class and their counselors to bring the magic of camp to life, planning theme activities and projects for each day. Being a CIT is a great way to gain experience for babysitting or future camp counseling jobs, fulfill volunteer hours for school and make summer memories to last a lifetime!
